John Strickland, Esq.
Attorney
I grew up in the suburbs of Houston and attended Rice University before earning my Juris Doctor degree from Yale Law School. Since law school, I have pursued a variety of educational and professional opportunities, both within and outside the legal field.
For several years, I taught business law courses at UCLA Extension, a public continuing education institution on the campus of the University of California, Los Angeles. As an attorney, I previously worked in the corporate transactions section of a large international law firm in Houston, where I gained specialized knowledge in corporate finance matters.
My legal journey took a more personal turn when I became my disabled aunt’s legal guardian for the last nine years of her life. That experience led me to work in a disability law practice.
Now at Robbins Estate Law, I draw from my broad personal and professional experience to assist with the firm’s probate matters and estate planning practice. I take pride in diligently and compassionately guiding families through every step of the probate process. With a background and interest in finance, I also enjoy helping clients develop estate plans that align with their financial goals and family needs.
Outside of work, I enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, including running and hiking. Born and raised in Texas, I have an appreciation for country music, two-stepping, and line dancing.
